Our Ministries

The Bridge & Youth
St. John's Youth Ministry provides youth experiences for spiritual growth, missions, fellowship and service. The Bridge is a class for 5th & 6th graders to help transition them from the Children's Ministries into the Youth program. The Bridge meets at 5:30pm on Wednesday nights.
Our Junior High Youth is for 7th - 8th grade and our Senior High is 9th - 12th grade. Youth meet on Sunday nights in the Lighthouse for a meal at 5:00pm, afterwards they will gather for that night’s activity. St. John's Youth Director is Baylor Garrett.
Children's Ministries
St. John's children's and youth ministry is growing every day. Our Children’s Director, Nicole Lindsey has exciting things happening at our Wednesday Night Children's program. At 5:00pm we share a meal in the Lighthouse. Following the meal children ages 3 to 12th grade are welcome to join us to the nights activities. These include praise songs, Bible lesson or mission project, a craft, games and more. Some of the Children's Mission projects have included: donations to Animal Shelter, selling their handmade items with proceeds going to the Greenwood Mentoring Center, Peanut Butter Drive/Can Food Drives for Greenwood Food Pantry, purchasing Bibles for needy children. A nursery is also provided on Wednesday nights for parents that would like to help out with the older children or attend on of our Bible studies.
We are excited to have your children at St. John's and invite them to join us through out the year to learn about the Bible. Some of the events we have are:
* Little Lights during the 10:30am Sunday worship service
During our 10:30 am Sunday worship service, Nicole, our Children's Director has a special message for the children. Following this children's moment they are dismissed. Little Lights is for children in 3K - 1st grade. They will meet in the Lighthouse for children's church. Children younger than 3K will be taken to the nursery in the Fellowship Hall.

* Easter Egg Hunt and Games
* Bible Themed Trunk-or-Treat
* Children's Christmas Program
* Various day activities during the summer months: Movie Day, Sidewalk Scripture Chalk at the Park, Swim Party, Bowling.
Small Study Groups
St. John's offers many Bible studies each year. Bible studies run from August until May. Following are days and times each group meets. For more information on our current study, please see our Group Life section.

Praise Bands and Chancel Choir
St. John's members share their musical talents in our Chancel Choir and many praise bands directed by our music team. If you are interested in joining one of our music groups, please contact our music staff at 662-453-7522.
St. John’s Weekday Ministries and Preschool
The Preschool serves as a ministry of St. John's Methodist Church. We believe that each child is a child of God and should have every opportunity to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually to his or her fullest potential.
