Nursery

Welcome to St. John's Methodist Church!

Our website has information on worship, studies and missions for all ages. If you have any questions, please contact Tamie Burton in our church office at 662-453-7522 or for information on our Preschool contact Cindy Nokes at 662-453-6031.

A trained and well equipped staff is provided for both Sunday School and Worship hours.  Our nursery is located preschool end of the building:  Infants and toddlers will be in the Fellowship Hall.  Please see Sunday School information for classes of children age 3 years and up.  After Children's Moments during our 10:30am worship service, children 2 years and under will be taken to the Fellowship Hall.  Children 3K-1st grade will have Little Lights in the Little Light’s Room.

Parent Information:

*  Please greet nursery workers upon entering the nursery.  If you do not know the nursery worker or volunteer, please introduce yourself and your child.  Please introduce any visitors you bring into the nursery.

*  The nursery is provided for infants to three years.  All older children may attend children's church and Sunday School.

*  Provide any specific instructions that day/evening for your child.

*  Label your child's bottle, pacifiers, sippy cups, etc.

*  Please leave all other toys and personal items at home.

*  The nursery will open 15 minutes prior to church functions and close 15 minutes after the end of church functions.  Please pick your child up promptly after the service.

*  Infants will be given bottles as instructed.  Toddlers may be given snacks.  If allergies or other reasons prohibit your child from getting a snack, please tell the staff member on duty each Sunday.

*  Bring diapers and wipes for your child to the nursery.    It is also recommended a change of clothes be brought for infants.

*  For the safety of others, we ask that you only bring WELL children to the nursery.  Please keep your child at home if you not any of the following:  fever, runny nose, rash, constant cough, diarrhea, or vomiting.  We want all our children to remain happy and healthy.

*  Nursery workers will make every effort to comfort a crying child.  If a child is inconsolable after 15 minutes, they will contact the parent.  We cannot allow children to "cry it out" at the risk of upsetting other children in the nursery.

*  Any special request for nursery care should be submitted to the office at least 7 days prior to the date of the event.

*  Please be sure to let the church office know of any problems or concerns in the nursery.   662-453-7522
